Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us:

• Contact form. When you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message. If you opt in, we may also use your email for occasional property updates.
• Job applications. If you apply for employment, we collect your name, contact details, cover letter, and any résumé or documents you upload. Marketing email is only added when you opt in on the application form.
• Reservations. When you book a stay through our online reservation system (hosted by Cloudbeds), you provide payment and guest information directly to that service.
• Website chat. When you use “Ask the Front Desk,” we collect your messages, the page you asked from, any travel dates you share, and your answer ratings. The chat is AI-assisted. Please don't share payment details or other sensitive information in the chat. If the chat can't answer and you leave your email for the front desk, we email them your address and the recent conversation so they can reply to you. Your email isn't sent to the AI model. Your conversation is also saved in your browser so you can pick up where you left off.
• Website usage. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This may include your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and general location.
• Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that submissions come from real people. Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address as part of this service.

How We Use Your Information

• Respond to your questions and requests

• Review chat questions we couldn't answer so we can improve our answers, with email addresses and phone numbers removed

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Marketing emails are optional — unchecked by default — and you can ask to be removed at any time using the contact details below.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our website and business. Each has its own privacy practices:

• Cloudbeds — online reservations and guest management
• Google Analytics — website traffic and usage statistics
• Seline — privacy-focused website analytics
• Cloudflare — site hosting, security, and Turnstile spam protection
• Vercel — site hosting and the AI Gateway that sends chat messages to an AI model provider (such as OpenAI) to generate answers
• Langfuse — monitoring chat answer quality
• Upstash — chat abuse protection and the list of questions the chat couldn't answer
• Elfsight — guest reviews displayed on our dedicated reviews page

When you book a room or interact with these services directly, their privacy policies apply to that interaction.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and basic site functionality. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some features work.

Data Retention

We keep contact and employment inquiries only as long as needed to respond, evaluate applications, or meet legal requirements. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings. Questions the chat couldn't answer are kept for up to 90 days (copies sent to our team for review may be kept longer), and chat history saved in your browser is cleared after 7 days or when you choose “Start over.” Chat monitoring records are kept according to our monitoring provider's retention settings.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the information below.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
